Lessons are provided for students from ages 5 and up.  Any age is welcome to become a part of the Baymount Farm riding family.  Adult students are invited to attend monthly off-site trail rides.  We happily trailer and provide the horses for trails rides to Blowing Rock, Latta Plantation, South Mountain, Yadkin River Trail and more.  An additional fee is charged.

We ask that all students arrive 15 minutes early for a lesson to groom and tack up their horse.  Learning to care for and prepare your horse for riding is an integral part of bonding for the horse and rider.  The instructor is on hand to provide help in this process.  After the lesson each student spends as much or as little time as necessary to cool down and untack their horse and return to stall.

An important part of the lessons include student goals and evaluations.  Lesson plans are used and reviewed with the student.  This provides an opportunity for the student  to evaluate for themselves where they are with riding and what they feel needs improvement.

Two arenas and a round pen is provided for safe and fun lessons.  Onsite trails are available for short trail rides after a lesson for relaxing and cooling out the horse.
